Here's the email I sent out to our family & friends tonight, we have lots of friends here too so here goes.
Got the PET scan results yesterday. The doc said that there was nothing on there to be concerned with. He is setting us up with an oncologist in Winnipeg. He said that normally they would not recommend anymore treatments but at his age, it would be something to consider. That tells us he recommends getting a round of chemo. We had kinda decided to do it anyway as a precautionary measure. Been that route before with my Dad, he's no longer here, you can't always be sure the little buggers didn't multiply when the air got at the innards. Anyway, he is healing really well, learning slowly but probably never completely that little virtue called patience. Thanks for all the thoughts, hugs & wishes, we appreciate them more than you know. For some of those in my family getting this email. Mom has been in the hospital since Thursday, getting her emphysema straightened out. Doing well, she wasn't in as much trouble as last year at this time. She's hoping to get out in the next couple of days.

Unless something changes we leave in about 12 days (2 weeks from yesterday), I need the vacation more than he does now, he's rested cuz he cain't do anything. Guess who's running...
