Inspired by Tony & Cheri's
Morning Beach Report (ahem), and needing motivation to take more frequent walks, John and I have decided to start reporting on our walks around Playa del Carmen.
We'll walk all over town -- the beach, 5th Avenue, Playacar, the Colosio, the Ejido, and we'll report back to you what we've seen. Hopefully, it won't be totally boring!
So, today's walk was dubbed early on as the "Empty Storefront Walk". There's so much construction going on in Playa, especially on the north end where we started our walk. Just about all the new condo buildings on and around 5th Avenue have empty storefronts on the first floor. Right now, these areas are not getting a whole lot of foot traffic, so it'll be interesting to see how these fill up.

They're finally laying down the stones for the road to Mamita's Beach. Should be done "manana".
They're also working on Calle 26 to the beach, right by
Pinche Gringo's.
Casey, a snowbird from Alberta, Canada, was chillin' at
Pinche Gringo's while his parents enjoyed breakfast.
This is such a strange building. On 1st Avenue at Constituyentes across from
The Gym.
