i agree that senor frogs is aimed at tourists, but i have to say that they offer a great deal on open bar (usually around 250-300 pesos for 3 hours), on the ladies night usually held once a month or so if you pre-buy your ticket (ladies only) you get open bar from 10 pm until closing for 100 pesos. the band that plays there nightly, la mata, does great cover songs from the 70s, 80s, & 90s.
i know ladies night at other places have free drinks, but you have to fight past the paying customers to get your drinks from the one bartender serving hordes of ladies - yea. at frogs ladies night its only ladies until midnight and the waiters are happy to serve the sea of ladies!
while i enjoy places like coco maya, blue parrot, etc. the prices of the drinks bother me - i hate paying 60-70 pesos for a little plastic cup of drink . . . at least at frogs you get a full size drink. i know its definitely not the cheapest place around, but i do think they have some good offers as well (i mean where can you go and get open bar all nite for 100 pesos?). true it has crazy tourist antics, but i always find that entertaining from time to time! just wanted to add my 2 cents. my endorsement for frogs has now ended . . .
