Why not fly to Leon, and visit all the wonderful places around that boring city. Guanajuato, San Miguel, Dolores Hildalgo, Aguascalientes and Zacatecas. That ticket never costs a lot, if booked in advance. |
What a coincidence, this is pretty much what I recommended on another forum. I agree with PDS, Guanajuato is also my favorite city in Mexico, if not the whole world, and if you haven't seen the colonial cities of Mexico you're missing the "heart of Mexico". Also, Mexico City is fantastic, IMHO. One of my best friends just took a job down there and I can't wait to visit him.
