I found the "other" board while doing some research on Playa sometime last year. When I first started visting over there, I thought it was the coolest place with some great people.. got lots of great info. I didn't post all that much, mostly lurked and read a lot. But, I was so excited to go to Playa and meet all the Peeps.
Then I got yelled at a few times for my point of view, and then just seemed generally ignored. I also hadn't liked the tone of the board the past several months... just seemed like people were being nasty, or there was always a heavy sexual overtone to every thread, no matter what the topic, and it got kind of old.
With all that, I lost my whole interest in even going to Playa, and I really wasn't interested in meeting the "Peeps". I guess I associated the bad things of the board with Playa itself. I know that's silly, but since I had never been before, that was the association I was starting to make.
I wanted to start fresh and restore my faith in Playa, the people who live there and the people who go there. That is why I was excited to find this forum.
Since I hadn't been there too much of late, I really missed all the um, excitement, so I'm not really sure what happened, but I think it is a shame nonetheless. Anyway thanks for listening to me.... how much do I owe for this therapy session????
