I hadn't heard about Ellie! I'm so happy for her. Such a sweet dog. I always imagined her ending up with you and Joe though. But when you're ready, you'll find the perfect dog for you (and Joe). Ya know whenever I hear about a dog adoption, I'm thrilled for the dog but kind of sad that I won't see him/her the next time I'm there. Sappy, I know.

Gosh Libby I know just what you mean! It was odd to be a the Shelter & not see Ellie. We have plans to try to get Osa adopted by the same family. She is quite depressed with losing her buddy Ellie. The two of them were as Andy described "two old Spinsters" who couldn't live without each other.
Now on to Happy News!!!....I've been doing a bit of grant writing with Andy & Jen's input. We received news just this week that we are going to receive a monetary award ($1000 US) from the SPCA International!!! We will be named "Shelter of the Week" on the SPCA International website. Along with the monetary award we will be featured on their website. They are a bit back-logged with applications so our award is scheduled for August. We have many more grant applications in the works & we hope the aid will come to us. It is desperately needed!
It's been a great week! Oh and Tasha is getting quite a big belly!!!!
All the best!
