I have not stayed there but I have read accounts of folks who got such a great deal with a package that included air that they stayed there and ate and drank all over town and still saved money.

That's a lil' bit down 5th past the Luna Blue, right?? If so, when we were down last September, I think they were advertising $65/night for AI or something to that effect.

Well I just checked the whole Real Hotels website http://www.realresorts.com.mx

and the dates I put in were 12/20 - 12/27 the only days that you paid for were the 20th and 21st. It was for all the Real hotels in the area. I did a reservation quote for 3 rooms for 10 people 6 adults 4 kids and it came to a little over 2000.00 (That is for the Gran Porto Real)all together! for 1 room I think it was about 800.00 and it's AI and it's right by 5th.

OK, the Real del Carmen is a bare bones AI not to be confused with the quality of accomodationa and level of service at The Royal or Gran Porto. The rooms are clean, basic and the food is pretty good by AI standards. The hotel is located within any easy walk to everything! If you can book that week for $800 bucks, DO IT! How much time do you spend in the room anyway? At this price you can eat out all over town and spend your money on fun stuff.

We have a few web clients that are scrambling to update their rates for next year's holiday season. It's my guess that the Real folks haven't entered their dates yet. Instead of telling you that there is a problem, it's showing no rates for those dates.

However, if they aren't charging for those days, I think Libby and I are going to live beachfront for the holidays.

Well thats what I thought too, but it says right on the rate quote that "*Receive an attractive discount by reserving before 15/Mar/2008 and enjoy at a maximum your vacations. "

On the rate chart is:
Sat 20 - 140.00
Sun 21 - 140.00
Mon 22 - FREE
Tues 23 - FREE
Wed 24 - Free
Thur 25 - FREE
Fri 26 - FREE

We stayed at The Royal a couple years ago...it's across from the Gran. The other one I was thinking off is on 5th but not on the beach at all.

Anyway...those rates are awesome...too bad they were too good to be true (I read your last post).
