Hi all - anyinfo aout htis resorand its beach, srvice, experience, etc? Thanks in advance!

A group of 5 of us just returned from Sandos Playacar on 2/9/08. It was a great resort and we may return next year with a bigger group. If there are any Travel agents out there, and the beach is important to your clients, send them here. It is the best (only?) beach in Playacar. Wilma has taken a toll and the other resorts won't have any beaches for quite a while.

The service was great, the food was great (very good Arrachera, aka Skirt Steak) and the weather was almost perfect. A small resort, but enough to do.
Plenty of kids around, so if you hate kids, a different resort would be in order.

Alrighty! In light of current circumstance I have had to go back and forth about whether I should spend the money on a trip or not this year. We were supposed to wait. So, you guys can all be patient with me and bear my stupid questions on the "maybe" trip. I would be most appreciative.

SO, it seems that the decision has been made that IF we go we WILL be going to Playa
Which is what I wanted to do anyway. It's been a year since we have been there and it was 4 years in a row that I went, I'm having withdrawls.

It looks as though the dates are going to be August 28-September 6 (no, it's not hurricane questions. I don't really care. Would LOVE to experience it. )

I found Sandos VERY cheap for this time. Very and it's going to allow an extended. MY question is, how bad to the prices flucuate during this time? Do people tend to steer clear or should I book this now so it doesn't go up? I'm actually looking for opinons, rather then facts.

Again, nothing is set in stone. But would like some input!
