Default Reef Playacar

Alrighty, due to current circumstances, I believe that I can put the Mexico trip that was not to happen back into the plan. It seems the money we were not going to spend going to Mexico but rather put into some renovations to our house will now be covered by the insurance company that has put us up in this wonderful Super 8

Anyway........I'm doing some research and have come across the Reef Playacar. I found a heck of a deal on it (yes, we travel AI but we are not the type that feel we are locked into the resort. It's just easier and MUCH cheaper for us that way). I noticed some mentions of it here and was wondering if there was anyone out there that could give me an honest review and possibly some pics.

I will be traveling with a 10 year old as well, who is going on 30, so kids club things aren't that important.

Thank you for any additional information anyone has!

If you got a good deal and don't plan on staying at the resort for all of your meals, then go for it. The grounds are charming, you can walk to town or catch a cab easily. The food is just barely passable and it is difficult to find a chair at the pool or on what may be left of the beach. If you are getting a good deal, have breakfast there in the morning and take off for the rest of your day.

Thanks Michele! Your quick.

So, your saying that the beach isn't the best? We usually don't stay on the resort ALL the time, but there are days that I would like to hang as well. It is a good deal, so it might be worth it anyway!!

Food isn't a big deal as there are tons of places I would like to try in town.

I'm just excited to be able to Mexico and trip back in my vocabulary

The beach comes and goes. Mostly goes. Take the good rate and plan on being off campus for your days.

Will keep that in mind. I'm still in the researching phase. Hopefully I can find something. I'm sure I will!

Thanks again!
