Default Jimmy Buffett??

So, I am very excited about seeing Jimmy this summer in August at Nissan Pavillion in Bristow, VA...but this will be my first time! I'm a Jimmy Buffett concert virgin.

I know it's all about the party...so what should I expect aside from a fabulously good time? Show me the ropes, people...puh-leeze...especially since my hubby is less than thrilled about going.

Anyone else going to see Jimmy this summer...whether it be in Virginia or elsewhere??

We have been to see Jimmy many times.....We have seen him at the Nissan Pavillion in VA once a several years ago......its a great place to see him because there is a great party on the lot ahead of time so plan or getting there early......we used to do the lawn but I found that I have matured my way into the pavillon.....Even though its not a far drive we got a room near by because the traffic getting out of there is a mess......took a couple of hours just getting of the lot .....I will try to find some pics

Thanks, 'Zoom! Yeah, I snagged seats...I thought about getting lawn tickets, but what the hell, right?

Game plan is to spend the weekend at my parents house since they are only in Fredericksburg...besides, someone has to watch the kiddos!

Can't wait to see some pics.

I've seen him twice here in Atlanta. Once inside and once outside. It's ALL about the party. We always park early and tailgate. We usually bring a grill, some shrimp, Corona's or like last year, LandShark. It's a blast. Have a great time!!

Oh one other tihng. If you can, walk around and visit with other Parrot Heads. It's like one big family and everyone shares their food and drink. Good times!

How do you folks get tickets? I tried the day they went on the market for Troy, WI. Nothing available. I suspect the computerized brokers got most of them.

You could get tickets on eBay, but the prices were incredible.

I'd love to go see Jimmy or any other big concert. It's been too long. Maybe Jimmy will play in the Riviera Maya next year. Afterall, it is paradise, right?

We have seen him twice. Once at Alpine Valley (no longer), or as I liked to call it, Alpine Landslide. It was a torrential downpour during the entire concert. The folks on the lawn kept sliding down the hill, and eventually gave up. We spent the entire concert with the rest of the lawn seats in the beer pavilion. I think I heard a part of Cheeseburgers in Paradise.

The second time was at the Tweeter Center. Why any company known for speakers would want their name associated with the crappy audio there is beyond me. Way, way more fun, and we actually got to see and hear the concert.

Have a blast!!

I would give my right arm, left leg, whatever to see Jimmy! But alas....the tickets here always sell out in 1.6 seconds

You know, I've wondered if I didn't have tickets and just went up to tailgate, what would the odds be of me finding a couple of tickets from people who just decided that they would rather stay out and keep partying, or that partied too much and couldn't make it in..... :-) I bet the odds would be pretty good.

Mmm...LandShark.

Yeah, I'm suspecting we'll bring the grill and load the truck like we do for the races...except we'll be hearing sweet music and not the loud roar of stock cars. I'm super excited but my hubby just isn't into it. Go figure.

I got l-u-c-k-y. Very lucky. I hopped onto the 'net (here at work) right when the tickets went on sale to see what I could come up with...totally expecting either lawn seats or nothing available. He's playing a 2-day show in Bristow which might be why I got so lucky...but, of course, I went back not even 5 minutes later to see if I could get any more tickets and -- go figure -- no such luck.

No kidding.

I should have bought a lotto ticket the day I scored the Jimmy tickets.

I have ONE- backstage pass for any JB concert. I'd held it back for Sunbaby but regretably she cannot go to the show in Dalls. It does have MY name on it but.....if someone wants to try it? PM me...1st come. (I did some artwork for The San Diego Parrot Head Club and this was my pay-off.)

We saw Jimmy last summer. Took a limo down with the 6 neighbors. A little over an hour drive, stopped for lunch on the way. Drank way to much Captain Morgans on the way down. Had lawn seats. It rained the whole concert. At least it was warm because we were soaked. Had to change clothes in the limo. Had a great time.

We've seen Jimmy many times, including an unannounced appearance at his own Margaritavile Restaurant during Jazz Fest a couple of years ago. We will be at this years Jazz Fest in a few weeks and will see Jimmy again, both at the Festival grounds and we hope at another "surprise" drop in a Margaritaville.
