Default NCAA Final Four

So who did you pick to win?

My final four is North Carolina v. Kansas and UCLA v. Texas with Kansas and UCLA in the finals...Kansas wins.

We are excited here locally to see our Drake Bulldogs make it in. Not many of you would have heard about them, but I have seen them play and I think they are really damn good...I have them upsetting UCONN.

You guys have any upsets?

Au contraire Crop Duster, UConn whoops up on Drake but I agree, great to see em in there no doubt! Same Final 4 picks as yours w/ NC v TX in the championship game and NC taking it!

Go Bulldogs.

I was actually AT the Drake Relays, over 25 years ago.
It was only in it's seventy-something(th) year then though...

I've thought this was North Carolina's year all season.

I see Kansas, Texas and UCLA as well. But WHO is going to be this year's George Mason? Anyone?

I have a feeling the kid from UCLA will struggle early in Tourney, but settle in.
NC beats UCLA. (Although I think Texas has a shot being as the only team with a handle on how to play them is Kansas, and if Texas takes care of the ball and hits their free throws they can beat anyone).

MY human interest story this year comes out of the Univ. of San Diego, who knocked off Gonzaga in the Conference Tourney (I'm NOT a fan of a Conference Tourney Champ getting an automatic entry at ALL).

Toreros' Freshman Rob Jones. Check him out.

I don't know much about the NCAA, but Adam, John said to say to you that he can't remember what your team was called again, the Iowa Weenie-hounds or something??

My final four. North Carolina vs. Kansas, Memphis vs. UCLA. Kansas over UCLA in the finals.
I ran in the Dogwood Relays and the Kansas Relays.

W. Kentucky vs. Drake...

Oops...need Drake to win this one...

WKU hitting 61% from the floor and 7-16 from 3-pt land...
With ZERO Free Throw attempts, while Drake is 13-16.

IF WKU has a cold spell from outside, and if the score tightens up, it could just be that Drake will win it at the line...

And I thought the higher seed spread upset might be Sienna vs. Vandy.

I can say they were lucky to win, seems to me a couple of fouls were conviently ignored in the last 20 seconds, oh well, I did have them picked, it just seemed a shame for Belmont to not win that game...

Thanks for rooting for Xavier Zoom!

Dang Cuff! That's gotta suck for you! Great game though. I had Drake advancing for sure, but when it's that close you never know!

So far, Drake is my only losing team I had winning their next game too...
I had St. Mary's this morning.
Up by 5, it looked good at halftime until Miami went 25-3 to start the 2nd half...

Rob Jones had a SOLID game today...having at one point in OT, a runner and a foul but missed the free throw which would have given them a 2-pt. lead, UCONN's Free-throws put them up one, SD hits a jumper to go up by 1 with 1.3 seconds left. Big upset.

Rob Jones' Dad, Jim Jones, Jr. must be proud.
Rob's Grandfather is indeed, Jim Jones of Jonestown.
