I have a feeling that this is going to be quite the event!
I only wish that I could be there to watch this great event unfold and to lend a helping hand.

Popeye is a great artist and I am so proud of his work hanging on our walls. Wish I had more...like T&C He and Phyllis are the nicest folks you'd ever want to meet. I think that it is so generous of them to be doing this for the Shelter. I am humbled.

Rex & Huggybear would be so proud!

They sure and, and we agree that this is SO generous of them both!! I know Barry has been working like a dog to produce a whole bunch of gorgeous art for these couple of days. As soon as we hang it up all over the garden tomorrow, we'll take and post some pictures. I think it's gonna be so pretty!

Yes! Take lots of pics, please! I couldn't think of a more beautiful setting for Barry's paintings than the lovely Luna Blue gardens. This is so nice of you & Tony to be hosting this vernissage over the next couple of days. You do so much for others. Andy & Jen must be so touched by all of this.

This week, I will proudly be wearing my Peanut Pet Shelter watch that I bought from Maureen and I will be thinking of all of you.

Thumbs up Great time at Luna Blue last night!!!
We had a very nice time at the Paintings for Pets event last night. So much so, that I most likely going back tonight too! We had plans for later in the evening and I couldn't lug a painting around with me. I have some pictures from last night posted up on my blog HERE. It was a pretty good turnout and a lovely evening. Barry's paintings look so perfect in that space!

Nice pictures Michele! It was a fun night, but I'm a lightweight and can't handle 2 x 1 margaritas!

Oh, and the new PG's does have a website. PGs Sandbox Bar & Grill

If ya had checked the In The Roo directory for PG's Sandbox Bar, ya woulda found it there. Sheesh!

It was a really fun evening last night. People got to see Barry's beautiful paintings, locals got to hang with visitors, and everybody (well almost everybody) got overserved. Some more than others. Here are a couple more pics from last night.

Your hosts for the evening, Caribbean Colors, Peanut Pet Shelter and the Luna Blue Hotel & Bar (Andy, Cheri, Barry, Phyllis, Tony, Jen, & Adam)


One of the highlights of the evening took place when a mariachi who regularly sings at our bar asked Babaloo if he had a request. Rick, acting like a smartass (we know, hard to believe), jokingly asked for Led Zeppelin's Stairway to Heaven. El Mariachi not only knew it but launched into a 30 minute rendition complete with Jimmy Page guitar solos and Robert Plant's vocal screams. It was hilarious, and he brought the house down.



Finally, this is just a nice picture of Barry, Andy & Phyllis:


As Michele said, we will do it all again tonight. Still lots of artwork left to sell. And while we can't guarantee the mariachi will return, Chris Bollister is stopping by with his guitar. Let's see if HE knows Stairway to Heaven!
