This looks to be a really cool event! Playa del Carmen and the Riviera Maya are a beautiful and special part of this world. But all the development and tourism here is having an impact. We all need to do our part to protect the beauty and natural resources of this area. Make sure to attend this event!

The city's environmental protection department, with business sponsorship, is involved in the recycling efforts at various points around town on the first Friday of every month. You just missed the last one.


Also Grupo Maramex has some more permanent recycling points around town. The list needs to be updated though. I haven't seen the recycling at Mega in quite some time.

Dr. Aelf, a raw foods enthusiast, has made a video promoting the Eco Expo. Dr. Aelf will be opening a raw foods restaurant/store? in Playa soon. He will have a table at the expo with raw organic chocolate! Reason enough to attend this event!

Thank you for noticing my new signature line. Karma is on day 4 of her dog training school and is soooooooo good the teachers are amazed. She's like 99pct perfect! And it's even been rubbing off at home too! She's pretty such a good Karma! It's wonderful!

The jungle's already been cleared! This is about minimizing additional impact to this area -- using solar or wind energy, keeping our natural water sources clean, building responsibly, recycling or reusing "garbage", etc, etc.
