Californian Vocalist Brings Her Charisma and Sultry Voice to Playa del Carmen’s Holistic Fitness Center on Friday, December 5, 2008

WHAT: An evening of Christmas songs and wonderful ballads with the incredible Julie Delgado. Bring a pillow to sit on and get cozy, we provide the music and wine.

WHO: Julie "The Dove" Delgado (vocalist) – Julie is a native of Los Angeles, California where she attended The Eubanks Conservatory of Music studying voice with emphasis on classical and light opera. Julie began singing professionally in 1982 and has toured the world with such great artists as Rod Stewart, Janet Jackson, Diana Ross, k.d. lang, Natalie Cole, Al Jarreau, Tom Jones, The Blues Brothers, Brian McKnight and Michel Polnareff. In addition to the stellar list of artists that she has toured with, Julie has recorded with music legends Stevie Wonder, Ray Charles, Patti LaBelle; as well as Karen and Richard Carpenter. Her television works include the title themes to “The New Addams Family,” as well as “The Adventures of Oliver Twist.” Julie was also the featured vocalist in the “Good-Bye, Jenny” episode of The District. When it comes to the “big screen” Julie can be heard on the motion picture soundtracks, "Four Weddings and a Funeral,"“A Quest For Camelot,” “Rosewood” and Casper. To hear even more of Julie, you need only to have watched a little television recently, where her voice can be heard on many national and international jingles. However, one of her most memorable moments was being featured as a lead vocalist for the Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra at the 1996 PBS Christmas Salute. With a range that spans four octaves, Julie has been said to have “the voice of an angel, truly her gift from God.”
