The race is 10k distance.

The route goes from Mario Villanueva stadium on 10th to 30th Ave, follows 30th to Primera Sur, Primera Sur to 15th Ave, 15th to the Aviacion Diagonal Street, enters PlayaCar at the 30th Ave. entrance, follows the PlayaCar loop the full distance back to the 10th Ave entrance, then ends at the Parque Del Centro on Juarez(by the pier).

I have a picture of the route that I will try to scan and post later.

Am I translating correctly that this race is only for locals or for people who have lived in Playa for at least a year?

If so, you would think they would want to open it to all (tourists too) to get more cash and more food.

I think what it is saying is there is a locals only race and also "Men's Open", "Women's Open", "Men's Masters" and "Women's Masters". Masters is anyone over 30 I guess.

You seem to need to present a copy of your birth certificate...your passport might work. I will check when I go register if passport works.

Just wanted to let you know that I registered the other day. $50 pesos, a bag of rice and some cans of beans (you only need 1Kg of something)

Go up Juarez to 105th (other side of the highway). Take your first left after crossing 105 into the sports park there.

The office is along the left side of the gym/stadium. I think it was the second door. Or just ask someone in a Solidaridad shirt.

I was given a copy of the flyer, a map of the route and a receipt.

Hope to see many of you there! Even if you don't want to participate in the run, come cheer us on and bring some food for the food closet!
