Smile The Circus is in Town!!!

There are a couple of big megaphoned trucks driving around town with a bunch of tigers and other animals. They ended up parked in the Mega parking lot tonight, and when we went over to pet the big cats, we found out THE CIRCUS IS IN TOWN!!

For more info & some pictures of the animals, read our blog entry.

I LOVE Tigers.

Thinking of getting a white one next time.
(LOVE the blue eyes)

Sometime I'd like to get out to Playa and see what it looks like on the other side of 307....

The thing on Calle 38 & 30th Avenue is a carnival that they have every few months. I have some pictures from the last one here. This circus will be on the other side of the highway, and as far as I know, it hasn't started yet.

Is your vacation over, Renesis?

Well, it is true that this place is always a circus, but the REAL one starts tomorrow!

Tim, next time you guys are in town, we'll do a drive around across the highway (to somewhere other than Dog Holiday - promise!).

OK, so we went to the circus, today. It leaves, after tomorrow's performances.

Bummer: No cameras allowed.

The first act was kind of a musical introduction to all of the performers. Think Dos X girls with Milwaukee's Best guys, doing some weak ass dance number.

Next up, the tigers. There were about 10 of them, and they did some nice tricks, including jumping through fire. One of them fell off a series of steps. Felt kind of bad, but he seemed OK.

A super slim chica was next, contorting her body into positions that would interest any red blooded male. My wife slugged me, at this point.

She was followed by a clown act. Overall, I thought the clowns were kind of weak. Wasn't a language thing, they just didn't seem to into it, without a full house.

Her sister must have been next, and she did some moves on a ring suspended from the big top. No net.

Camels and llamas came out, next, ran around in circles, then changed direction, ran some more and, then, ran out of the tent.

Intermission: Get your photo taken with a white tiger cub. Kids cried out, POOOOOOOOOOOORFAVOOOOOOOOOOOOOR!!! and papi paid out the 50 pesos. Nice photo.

Back to the action. Long clown act, kind of funny. Watching the different performers do so much made me happy I didn't run away to the circus. One guy was putting up the rings, one minute, cleaining up tiger poop, the next. Then, he had a clown outfit and was playing the sax. Looked like lots of work.

2 more girls. One with hula hoops. Pretty mesmerizing. Then, a trapeze act. Mas o menos.

Finally, the elephant. Coolest of the day. Did handstands and other tricks.

Then, clown comes out, thanks all of us and says that's it.

Kids were happy. I was happy to see them that way. Thanks, T&C!!

Time for some football.
