Default And how about a sparate room for playa.info therapy sessions?

No sense dragging intheroo down with the bad vibes, but I think a lot of people could use to vent. I, personally, would feel better not having it comingled with the other, truly, fun stuff.
How about a separate section; and maybe you keep it open for a limited time?

I think after today, we should just never mention them again. No sense in bringing bad vibes into this great forum. This place is a fresh start and a good haven to avoid all the name calling and other crap.

We want to be better than that. Right?

How about just a general "rant and vent" section.

I could be wrong, but I think a "rant and vent" would help a lot of us make that final break ... I feel so unclean as a lurker ... yet, can't turn away!

How about in the context of a "Please do this ... Please don't do that" list of suggestions for John and Libby? And for our fellow posters? Maybe we each do a mini-bio of who we are, what we like, and what we really don't like and why?

I've already mentioned in other posts that "there" did do a lot of stuff right, especially in terms of newbie services. I do think it would be good to air things out, so we can help John and Libby separate the wheat from the chaff in terms of what "tweaking" they could do to the web site and forums section.

Well if there is a rant and vent section, then shouldn't you be allowed to rant and vent about what is actually bothering you? In other words, do you think Leasa should not have posted her thread?

I like the idea of having a place to go to blow off steam and get support or sympathy if needed, but keeping it apart from the other primary topics like where to stay, what to eat, etc.

Also, by creating a separate section, others could simply choose to avoid it if all they need/want to read here is hard information or the other "fun" stuff, etc.

The only potential problem as I see it is at this rate, there will be an influx of posts like Leasa's here today.

I think Leasa had every right to post and I stand behind her. But, I don't want to see it dragged out and re-hashed for the next couple of weeks. It does more harm to this forum than good, IMO. There are ways of referring to them with out mentioning the name, aka "banned", "over there", etc.

Many of us have gotten hurt or disgusted "over there" and just want to move on to a better place and not be reminded about it all the time. Rant today, be happy tomorrow...that's all I am trying to say.

Got it. And I agree 100% that this place should not turn into the "anti-forum", if you know what I mean. We do have better things to talk about, generally.

Thanks for your suggestion. I've moved the "Banned" thread to the We've Got Issues forum, which we feel is a more appropriate place for venting in general. We've decided not to add another forum at this point in time, but will consider doing so in the future if we feel it is warranted.

We did not create this forum in order to bring down any other forums or to steal members from other forums. While we will certainly allow our members to "rant" about other Playa forums or websites if they find the need, it's not exactly something we want to encourage. I hope you understand.

We love to get feedback from our members. We need all the help we can get. Please post any suggestions you have in the Feedback forum. Thanks!

I think "We've Got Issues" is a perfect place for it. Thanks!!

Let's refer to the other forum as *BANNED* - do it in your next post...

Are you assuming that there are a lot who want to make "that final break"?

I think we should encourage people to do what they want to do. I do not have any desire to make a break with the other forum. I have been there for nearly 5 years, and if it is open another five, I will be there for those.

Addition, not subtraction - that is my manner

Amen to that. It seems some people have bigger issues, that a message board "hug" really isn't going to help. Just sayin... :-)

True dat!
There are issues ... and there are issues.

But being able to vent here has helped me a lot. Removed the bookmark yesterday, and feel clean and light of heart!
