Default Jump menu

I really like the jump menu that is an available mod I believe for this board. I know you guys are busy as ever, but just a suggestion for the future...it makes it so much easier to jump back and forth between the different areas of the board.

Hmmm, you probably know this software better than I do. If I give you the keys, you want to take it for a drive?

The administration of this software is pretty complicated, and I'd be lying if I told you I knew where everything was. I'll poke around and see if I can find the magic words to get the forum jump to appear.

Are you referring to the jump menu that is located at the bottom of the screen, or something else?

I found something that looks like this:

Yes, I meant the one that appears at the bottom...I didn't notice it down there. I like it, but I like it better in the nav bar. But, you may not be able to set that option, it may have to be edited in the php script itself.

I like that one you posted as well...praps even better. I looked it up, it's a mod so less messing around for sure. Easier for future board updating too, then you don't have to re-edit the php script again.

Either of these will decrease your server usage too, for http requests AND database queries, which is always good.

I like your geek speak.

Putting it in the nav bar might make sense. I'm concerned about possibly having too many options in the nav bar. I'll take a look and see...

Hacking the PHP to move it to a more predominant location might be better solution. It may be possible to just move the existing drop down menu up to the top of the page.

Ginger & other forum jump users...

I added the forum jump addon to the menu bar. Currently, you need to be registered and logged in to see it. If I hear good things about it, I may enable it for everyone.

I have no clue when the new version of vBulletin is coming out... but this addon seems pretty simple to me, so the chances of it breaking things when I upgrade is hopefully slim.

Let me know what you think!
