I visited Playa while on vacation in Cancun last year and loved it. I'm planning on being there for a couple weeks after Christmas and a month or two in the summer. This site has been a great help in planning my trip.

Hi! I'm Dan from Alabama. Like you, I discovered Playa during a trip to Cancun back in '96. I've been going there at least once a year since then, and I've also branched out all over the peninsula. Playa's a cool little town, and the whole pensinsula is a wonderful place to explore. Thanks for the great welcome everybody. Yeah I enjoyed Cancun, but in the future it will be a day trip from Playa at most. I loved just walking through Playa, especially outside of the tourist area, which really isn't an option in Cancun. Last year I had to leave just a few days before New Years, so I'm definitely planning on being there this year.
