Hello to everyone,My name if Ron,and my wife of 38 years,Sandy, and I will be arriving at the Iberostar Paraiso Del Mar this Saturday, April 12th.This will be our first trip to Mexico.We have been vacationing for the last 6 years at A.I resorts in the Dominican Republic. We love the D.R.,but just thought it was time to try a new destination.After reading a lot of the posts on this site,I kind of wish we would have stayed in your beautiful town of Playa Del Carmen.It seems like there are so many things to see and do in Playa. Cant wait to visit. It looks like I could even find a great bar on the beach to have a "FEW" drinks while my wife is shopping.Yes, I am 60 years old,so technically, I am an "Old Fart" But I sure don't feel,or I hope, don't act like one! Looking forward to "Blue Water" "Hot Sun" "Cold Beer" and a great time!!!!! Adios mi amigos,Ron

Don't feel bad for staying at an A.I. while visiting Playa your first time. It's a great way to get acquainted with the city. My only recommendation is to not let the "I've already paid for all the food and drinks at my resort so I'm not venturing into town" syndrome prevent you from experiencing Playa's incredible beaches, bars, restaurants and shopping.
