Default 3-4 month stay

Can anyone give us any suggestions on where to stay for this lenght of time. We love the north end of Playa and the Luna Blue but I think it would be pretty expensive to stay there that long. Don't mind spending about 1200-1800 per month, maybe a little more if it is a place we really like.... Thanks

We stayed at the Condo Hora Feliz for a month when we first moved to Playa. We loved it there, but living in a studio got old after a while. The rooms all have a kitchenette and the owners are really friendly Italians. They will most likely give you a discount for a longer stay.

You should also contact Star Condos. They have a lot of places on the north end in areas where a lot of expats live.

When will you be arriving? It will be more difficult to secure a discounted long-term stay during high season. Everyone wants to get the higher nightly & weekly rates during high season. But in the off season, they'll be more willing to give you a deal.

If you're arriving in the off-season, you could just book a few nights at the Luna Blue. Then go look for an apartment the way we do it here -- walk around looking for For Rent/Se Renta signs, get an Andale and practice your Spanish , and tell everyone you meet you're looking for an apartment.

Best of luck!

Hi. I think Libby came up with great suggestions. Star Condos did show me nice condos when I was looking to rent. I just did not take one of theirs. La Hora Feliz is on my same street. It's really cute outside...and inside too but small.

I do know of a two bedroom for rent for $1000 per month with a big roof top patio. It needs a little work (like a really good cleaning) but I like it. Its on 42nd street. I hope to move there eventually so I'd love for someoen to move there for a few months to test it out for me.

Happy to get the number for you. I saw the guy yesterday and know it is available.

Let me know if I can help you.

Marissa
