Default Local products?

I'm finishing up the last minute details of our move and was wondering if anyone knew if I could get the following products in Playa or Cancun as I've not seen them:

Tylenol Cold and Allergy or Tylenol Cold and Sinus (I know there is regular Tylenol there but I have not found the Allergy or Sinus products).

Banana Boat Sport sunscreen (this seems to be one of the only sunscreens, besides Baby Faces, that keeps me from turning into a Lobster)

Also, does anyone that comes to Playa often sell or know someone that sells Avon? I'm addicted to one of their moisturizers and I do not know how often I will actually get back to the States.

Other than those few things, which are easy to stock up on before heading to Mexico, I will adjust to anything else that I may need.

Walmart or any of the other chain stores will have the things you are looking for. They are like almost like a walmart at home in the US.

There is a avon distributor on CTM and 15th in the colosio, they also sell tupperware. It is right next to the machinery repair shop.

When I was in Playa in Feb with a nasty cold, I looked everywhere for some kind of decongestant type medication. I couldn't find it. Later, I read a post by someone who said that decongestants containing pseudoephedrine (the active ingredient in most of our decongestants) requires a prescription in Mexico. I did a little research, and it seems that it was deemed a restricted drug because of the role it's used in making meth.

I've seen Banana Boat aplenty though!

Anytime I have allergies, sinus problems or an onset of a cold, the only thing that seems to help are the Tylenol cold, allergy and sinus products. Two trips ago to Playa, the only Tylenol prduct I could find was regular Tylenol. I may just need to stock up on some before I leave.

Stock up ahead of time...and bring some for me too. Like you, that is the only thing that helps my sinus issues and I have yet to find it on the shelf in the 7 years of visiting.
That being said, I have not looked since we moved here and as I am heading out the door to Wally World right now I will check and let you know.

I know for certain that BB sunscreens are available as that is what we use for our kids (the waterproof stuff). I'm not sure about the cold and flu stuff but I have only once gotten a cold down here. I think we've had cold/cough twice since 2004.

But definitely bring it. I have never found Benadryl down here though and always stock up on that (dairy allergy) and I have never been able to get an epi-pen. Dental floss is REALLY expensive as is Lysterine. Oh, and contact solution is uber-expensive - even at Costco.

It is absolutely amazing how much more you can get in Mexico in just the last 2-3 years.

I developed allergies when I moved to Merida. At first, they were seasonal. Now, they only take a month off. I can't find squat, here, that works. So, I rely on friends and family to bring me Psuedofed. But, I only take it when it gets to the point that I feel like my head is about 10 pounds heavier.

I am going back to the US in August, and am going to do some serious product testing. Then, if I find something that works, I am going to buy the store out. It has gotten to the point where feeling congested is my normal state, and I don't like it.
