Default Broccoli Salad at Bad Boyz

Oh My Goodness, that was AMAZING salad! If the person who brought it reads this, and can share the recipe, please do! It was REALLY REALLY good!

I'd bet that was Deb's salad. It's pretty darn great! She comes on here from time to time.

And here is the recipe:

Tyra's Broccoli Salad

8 cups broccoli florets, raw
1 cup mayonaisse - Kraft or similar
1/2 cup sugar
2 tablespoons white vinegar
1/2 teaspoon chili powder
1 cup red onion, diced
1 cup bacon, cooked drained and chopped
1/2 cup sunflower seeds

In a large bowl whisk together the mayonaisse, sugar, vinegar and chili powder. Add in the broccoli, red onion, bacon and sunflower seeds. Toss thoroughly so that everything is dressed well and evenly. Cover and chill.

Yeild: 10-12 side servings

Thank you, Michelle! Jamie and I were debating the seed - he said sunflower but I was not convinced. So you didn't blanch the broccoli at all? It was crunchy and tender at the same time.

Again, thanks, I can't wait to try it myself.

The broccoli is raw but it is the pre-packaged florets type from Mega. They may so something to it before it gets bagged but I don't think so. I've used whole broccoli from DAC and the results were the same. Dac is the best place to get bulk sunflower seeds as well.
