Any word on the airport conditions there? We are flying out at 6:30, and we are to arrive at 9 am. Sounds like just when the storm is supposed to hit

Great! Your source is all of the drinkers in town! But we spoke too soon. We just found out the bars have been ordered not to sell alcohol this evening. So, even though the Luna Blue Bar was full, we had to announce closing time. However, to make it up to our guests we bought one last round on the house for everybody. Now, don't you wish you were here?

We were at the Bucket (just delivering a peice of cake to Duke.. oh and tell Suzie that the cake from Cafe Sasta was out of this world crazy chocolate... thanks for the suggestion!! ) Anyway Jorge from La Rana came in and said they had to close... We went to Oxxo to get some beer but no go there, they usually sell till 5pm on Sundays. Oh well, guess I'll just have to drink rum punch!

yup, no one is serving alcohol. We tried to order some with our dinner, no luck.

We visited with Jez who was battening down the hatches since they couldn't serve anyway.

Picked up a bunch of Coke Zero to go with our big bottle of rum. We also have some kind of raunchy Tequila sitting here, if all goes south and we need it. But then, we were thinking of selling that at a profit to the dumbass kids staying below us that slept past the booze cutoff time. OR not, we'd probably just rather not have them all drunk and too loud for one night! Ha!

We are heading back out, going to go check the beach out and see what's up. I'll bring my camera.

(I actually have some video and photos of the big waves and wind from earlier..wierd how it died down to nothing now tho. Calm before the storm I take it?)

Waves....calm then stormy, calm then stormy. If Playa could handle Wilma, then Dolly should be just a breeze..stormy and breezy. I foresee a stormy night and not much else. (hopefully). Ya should all be fine.

Mel and Red may get to sleep in..in the morning. You will still get to make it to Playa. Unless a tornado hits the Cancun airport. ....Then your screwed! Just kidding! Have a safe and speedy flight!
