Thank you....Hidden Worlds (sorry I don't know your real name(s))!
We've been to your place & oh my!!!!....it's simply incredible!!! Truly one of the best tours we've ever done & so close to town! Networking is key when it comes to finding resources in Playa & helping each other out .....a true community. This is one of the reasons I love this forum. Johin & Libby have done a wonderful job!!! All the best! Maureen |

Hey Maureen I'm Cath. Mucho gusto! ![]() Thanks for your wonderful comments - I'm glad you had so much fun on your Hidden Worlds adventure and I hope you'll be back to see us again soon! I love reading about how much people enjoyed their Hidden Worlds visits - that's our aim, so it's really satisfying for us to hear about it! ![]() I totally agree - it's great to be in touch with the Roo community and to help each other out. The warm community is one of the reasons I love this place so much. You're absolutely right - this site rocks (as do John and Libby! ) and I'm fast becoming addicted to the forums...! I personally am really passionate about improving the street animal situation and some of the local attitudes to animals - I'm a bit of a small scale rescuer myself down here in Tulum so it's great to read about the rescues going on up there in Playa. Keep up the good work, amiga! All the best! Hopefully we'll meet in person one of these days!

Hi Ron,
The vet has told us that Sushi is four to five years old. Sushi was rescued by Andy & Jen of the Peanut Animal Shelter. Jez, from the Beer Bucket fostered her until he had to move. She's been at our house for the last six weeks. So she is very social and has been so loved. She's incredibly sweet & such an easy, chilled out dog. She walks very nice on the leash too. We just got back from a walk & she's sleeping with her head on my foot right now!!! She's such a doll! So let's see what happens....If she is not available when you get to town, their are many wonderful, sweet dogs at the Animal Shelter. The Shelter can definitely hook you up with a dog! Are you affiliated with Xamach Dos down by Punta Allen? I love that place!! Take care, Maureen |

Yuppers, I am with Xamach Dos.
I want to have a dog with me there but I am still some months away from setting up more permanent residence in Tulum. Getting close though. If'n I don't get this dog I will get another, always had dogs. Last one, Akita Shepard cross, great guy had a coupla strokes so I hadta send him on his way. Will be nice to have a buddy around again. I will be by Playa next time down. Thanx, Ron |

Hi Ron,
I hope all is well. I see you have not posted for a long time. Are you still planning to live in Tulum? I ask this question for very selfish reasons......The beautiful Akita dog that we discussed is still available for adoption. She's the sweetest girl ever!! I am now back in Chicago & she is back at the Animal Shelter awaiting a "forever home". If you are still interested, Please stay in touch. She is so special! She's easy-going, calm & entirely devoted to those that care for her. She's been house trained for a long time & walks very nice on the leash. Sorry to ramble......as you can tell I love her!! My daughters who live in Playa love her (I only live there part time)...my grand daughter loves her....so many people in town love her!! I cannot adopt her because my husband wants another dog (we already have one), but he wants another Labrador like we already have. So Ron, I sincerely hope all is well with your plans. I love Xamach Dos! Write back if you have any interest is our beautiful, devoted Akita!!! Maureen |
