german speaking folks
Hi my husband is german and I am mexican we will be moving to the rivera maya this december and we will like to have contact to german speaking new friends.
We have two children (2 and 5years) so maybe there is a german playgroup? Thanks Maria

They teach German as a second language at El Papalote School. You might try there. There is a fairly active German community in Playa. They do seem to congregate around Manne's and Casa Tucan, both on Calle 4. I have one friend who is raising their son in a German/English/Spanish household. I'll ask her if she knows of any more families with German speaking children.

Hallo hamburgmexico,
das ist ja eine nette Überaschung, da muß ich mich, als gebürtige Hamburgerin ja sofort mal zu Wort melden. Manne und ich wohnen schon seit 14 Jahren hier in Playa und haben seit mehr als 8 Jahren den deutschen: "Manne's Biergarten" in der Calle 4 zwischen der 10. und 15. Strasse. Wir haben Stammgäste aus aller Herren Länder, verrückte Auswanderer genauso wie Touristen. Wir freuen uns schon Euch mal kennenzulernen. Bis bald Susie & Manne

I'm also mexican and was married to a German for 10 years, he is remarried now but we are neighbours, and my son speaks German and is 12 years old.
