Default vonage

Hi. My vonage has taken a turn for the worst. And Vonage says it is b/c my band width is at 59 kbps while I need 98 kbps to operate vonage well.
Any thoughts on how I can do this?? Is Cablemas upgradeable???

I seem to remember SOMETHING about this previously.

And, on a different note, is it easy to change/upgrade memory in a computer? I bought some more but am afraid to change it myself unless someone says it's easy to do and I won't do something wrong and lose my data.

Thanks- Marissa

Are you sharing cable with other units on your complex here? That bandwidth sounds very slow, even for Cablemas.

For what it's worth, Cablemas has two plans currently, 256kbps and 1.5mb. If you are on the lower of the two plans, you can and should upgrade.

As for laptop memory... you don't trust your local computer guru here anymore? Really, just cuz Vista doesn't like me (it's a mutual dislike), shouldn't reflect poorly on my skills.

We feel your pain. Cablemas was such a horrible experience for us, and we too had lots of problems with Vonage when we had Cablemas. Since we switched to Telmex, everything is all better.

BTW, how big is Karma now? You should post a picture somewhere! I really want to see if she still looks like a carbon copy of Gypsy (who, by the way, seems to continue to grow!! Look out!!).

No I don't share but our tv cable (paid by my building) went out on Friday and is still out. I can't help but think it may be part of the problem b/c this problem started at the same time. I will, however, go to cablemas tomorrow to upgrade.

I would love for my local computer guru to help me. I just hate to ask. But would be thrilled for your assistance. This weekend possibly? I will come to you with beer and M&m's!!! And of course, pesos to pay

Karma keeps growing. Although she's only up to 17 pounds right now. She isn't that tall just solid. We can by to see you one day but you weren't at the hotel. Would love to see you sometime.....Gypsy too!

I told Andy and Jen if she gets over a specific size I'm returning her! Sadly I love her too much to actually do that.

Default Vonage

Log into your Vonage account and go to features, then look for Bandwidth and adjust your bandwidth saver to the lowest setting. That should do the trick. I have 2 Mg Telmex and am able to run 4 Vonage units simultaneously. Let me know if I can of any assistance.
