Smile electricity bill

Hi. Where do I pay my CFE bill? Is there more than one location??
Did I hear once it could be paid at Xoxo?? (or is it OxoXO?)

Any help is appreciated.

Hi Marissa,

Yes it can be paid at OXXO (the "hugs & kisses" store!!). Be sure to hang on to your paid receipt. I hope all is going good for you in your new home!

Maureen

And if you do pay at Oxxo, make sure to pay it at least several days before the bill is due. This is true of phone bills, as well.

Marissa, the closest OXXO to you is at 38th and 10th. We have an entry on our blog about how to pay your bill here:

There is also a building on 307 with two automated machines which will take your payment and (usually) give you a receipt. There is rarely a wait. Next time I am up there, I will check the landmarks and cross strets.

Default I love utility companies

For future reference, if you ever pay your bill at an OXXO or a bank the day or day before it is due, photocopy it and tape it to your meter. Those CFE bastards are ruthless about cutting off your power, even if the "cut sheet" is a few days old.

CFEmatics... The last time I used them was about a year ago. I paid half my bill at one. It didn't like a bill, so it tried to spit it out. It got stuck behind the plastic protector. After 15 minutes, I decided someone was getting a 50 pesos bonus that day. I headed over to a new machine, put in 500 pesos to pay the remaining 200 pesos on my account. This machine had no idea that I had paid most of my bill at another machine, so it kept the 300 extra pesos and still said I owed more. Needless to say, I don't trust 'em anymore.

John, it's due the 31st...and today is the 28th. Do you think I'm okay with a 3 day window of payment??? Or should I tape it to the meter?
Now I'm just worried!
