Take a colectivo instead. You can find the colectivos queuing up on calle 2 between Ave. 10 and 15. They are well marked with their destinations. Just let the driver know whether you are going to the ruins "las ruinas" or town "la puebla". Have fun!!

Or take the bus. They're more comfortable than the colectivos, IMO. And much cheaper than a taxi!!

I second this advice. Ours cost $4.20 per person one way. Not sure what collectivos cost one way but I wonder if the ride was as good.

I think the bus is good, I don't like crowded rides, neither does the wife. I think we will take the bus unless our black lab starts pooping out $100.00 bills in the next few days. We leave on Saturday.

We took both this year. Both worked but liked the bus better. They fill the vans +1 over the max and stop to let workers off on the way. The bus makes a quick stop at Xceret. The ruins are the first Tulum stop and town the second one. They're only a little ways apart.
