Thanks for the kind words everyone! I work from home, so this gives me a good excuse to get out of the house more during the day. The pictures I post are so everyday and commonplace to me that I worry it's too boring. So, I'm glad to hear that you guys are enjoying this! And I will keep it up! Tomorrow, we hit the beach! |

I had a business meeting in Playacar yesterday, so I snapped a few photos while I was out and about.

Today, we set out to have lunch at Bad Boys for their Wednesday special, Southern Fried Chicken. We had been planning this ever since we realized we missed it last Wednesday! There's no real fried chicken around these parts, so I was totally psyched when I learned that Bad Boys had it on their menu. Upon arrival, I asked the waiter if they truly did had Southern Fried Chicken today. He assured me that they were serving today's special. Yes! I could already taste the crunchy, greasy goodness!
We ordered margaritas. The marg on the left is a small marg on the rocks with fresh lime juice and Don Julio. At $50 pesos, it was quite tasty. On the right, is the standard marg -- large, frozen, house tequila, $70 pesos. Tasted pretty nasty IMO, but John managed to drink it down. ![]() After the margaritas arrived, we were informed that there was in fact no fried chicken. Major bummer! So, we sat back and enjoyed the view while we pondered our next move. ![]() ![]() ![]() After finishing our margaritas, we got on with the walk heading south along the beach from Bad Boys. ![]() The Blue Parrot advertising their 11pm fire show. ![]() Lifeguard station ![]() Smiley face parasailing ![]() The beach is not an ashtray! ![]() Walking back north: Las Ruinas beach club ![]() ![]() ![]() Bang Beach Club ![]() Hobie cat near Fusion Hotel ![]() |

What exactly is a chirophysic?
![]() Mosquito Beach club ![]() Residences El Faro ![]() That's $179,900 for ocean view, ocean front! Sound too good to be true? For over 2 years we've lived right next to something being built, torn down, or renovated. For the most part, we are able to tune it out. Therefore, I unfortunately can't say whether the construction noise at El Faro was loud or obnoxious. I didn't notice any.
However, from my experience, the loudest construction noises are when they are working on the inside of the buildings. This is when they use a power saw to cut through metal, concrete, plastic, etc. It appears that they are still weeks, if not months, away from that phase of development. |
