ADO Bus Question

We are returning in two weeks to PdC for our third time. With all the favorable comments on the forum about ADO buses, we will use the bus to travel between the airport and PdC and a day excursion to Tulum.

My questions: Are you able to purchase advance tickets at the bus stations? If yes, how many days in advance?

The farthest in advance I've bought ADO tickets is the night before. People don't really buy tickets in advance here, so they're likely to be confused if you try to do this. Are you concerned about the tickets selling out?

Yes and avoid (long) lines at the bus station to purchase tickets.

On the trip to Tulum, getting on the first bus that morning would be a plus.

I always get my tickets back to the airport a day in advance. Years ago someone told me about the bus being full when they needed to get to the airport, so I figured why not.

The only time I'd be really concerned about getting a bus; is our return home day! That is important. The other destinations? oh well, we'll catch the next one.

Yes they do tend to run frequently enough along 307 and will stop for pickups at stops along the way. If not, the collectivos will take care of you!

I have always bought my tickets to the airport in advance. Only for the simple reason that I can show up 5 minutes before the bus leaves and know I have a seat. I have bought them in advance as early as one week ahead and as late as the night before.
