Default Club Yebo

Anyone stayed here? If so, I was looking at their two bedroom and would love to hear your comments, I'm all ears/eyes.

Thanks,

Wendy

I stayed at the Club Yebo last year. The two- 2 bedroom suites are on the second floor. The one towards the back will be quieter. We really enjoyed our stay. It was nice having the pool on those days we didn't want to go to the beach. It is well kept up and clean. Playa Palms does a great job managing it for the owner. The location is nice as well. Close to everything.

Thanks himynameisjan,

On their website the 2 bedroom (Karmalita) looks like it's on the ground floor. Did they have a safe in the room to lock up passports, cameras, etc? Also, can you tell me if the two beds in the second room are doubles or singles? Are the rooms really as nice as they look on their website, you know how sometimes rooms age, but the pictures don't.

Thanks again for your help,

On the ground floor as you come in the gate is the three bedroom suite. Further back away from the street are the 2-one bedroom studios. On the second floor are both of the 2 bedroom suites. We stayed in a studio, and there was a room safe, I don't know about the other rooms. I don't know the bed layouts in the larger rooms. I liked the Club Yebo a lot. It isn't fancy, but then the price isn't fancy. It was clean and well kept, and quiet. Send an email to Victor at Playa Palms with specific questions on room layouts, he was very helpful to us. I would say the only downside to Club Yebo is it's small size. If you get a crappy neighbor, there literally is no getting away from them. On the other hand, I loved the small size as we didn't have to deal with lots of people all the time.

Thanks again himynameisjan,

When you say if you get a crappy neighbour you can't get away from them, this isn't one of those condos that you can hear everything going on through the walls can you? I'm bringing 3 adult children with me so I'm looking for a reasonable, clean and safe place to stay. When I say safe, I mean, hopefully no worries about theft. Hubby and I had a few things stolen from our room at a nice place a couple of years ago, and we had just bought that the video camera to record how beautiful Playa is so we could show everyone back home instead of just talk about it and when we got home, everyone said where's the video of this beautiful place and we had to tell them our camera was stolen - well that went over like a lead balloon. Oh well it doesn't stop us from going to Playa, it's just hubby would like to have more than just a lock in the door handle, he would like/prefer a deadbolt.

Cheers,

Jan and I had a nice a quiet stay there until a family with small children "invaded" the Yebo. Soon the nice quiet pool area became not so quiet. Kids will be kids! Jan and I walked through the two bedroom apartment on the ground floor and we thought it was very nice. There are two efficiency apartments and the two bedroom on the ground floor and two one bedroom apt's on the second floor. You also get to use the beach facilities at the Playa Palms.

Yep, Erik is right, I was mistaken. The Karmilita is a 2 bedroom and the upstairs units are one bedrooms. I kept adding a room to them because I knew they were bigger than the room we had. By crappy neighbors, i was referring to noise levels. Right before we got there, there was a group of people who took over the pool area and played loud music night and day. While we were there, a family with very noisy kids moved in. They were really nice kids, but they were screaming in the pool from 7am on. It's really no big deal though, if the pool is noisy just head over to the beach at Playa Palms. They provide towels for you. And, if we hadn't booked an apartment for this next trip, we would for sure be staying at the Yebo.

Wendy, I have not stayed at Club Yebo but am familiar with it. While in Playa in May we stayed at Playa Palms which is just around the corner. A gentleman that manages Playa Palms took us through Club Yebo. It's very nice. As a matter of fact some friends of mine will be staying in the two bedroom unit for a week in January 2009. If you stay at Club Yebo you can use the facilities ( pool, beach, etc.)at Playa Palms. If you like I can e-mail some pictures.

Default No problem with sleeping here..

We are actually staying at Club yeboo right now (se-08) and we have to say that we are more than pleased with this place. Its very calm and relaxing to stay here. Sure, you may be hearing noises from the pool at daytime but we never hear anything from the other rooms (and we´ve stayed for soon a month) and we´ve never get disturbed at night. I think that´s quite unusual around here… We love it here and would strongly recommend it!

Thanks so much for responding Caroline, much appreciated. Could you tell me what room you're staying in and if it has a safe?

Thanks again,

Wendy

We always feel safe in our room if that´s what you mean. The safe in our room is a good sized one, great for "nomorestolenvideocams"!! Horrible when that sort of things occur...

We´re living in of the simple studios, ground level.

We were at Club Yebo (9/30 - 10/7). Are you the Swedish couple? We were in the one-bedroom apt right above the studios.
