Sharon and I took a short tour of the beach at sunrise on New Years Day. Here's what we saw between 6:00 and 7:00 AM on January 1, 2008.

Wow.....that was pretty wild.....People doing the fully clothed swim...the guy in the Ronald McDonald outfit......the Chica with the 7am beer.....Mr Sunglasses dancing.....the trash in the streets.....thanks for posting it was fun to watch

I took video of the trash on the beach, but cut it in the editing. It just ruined the fun. Lots of it. However, Playa is amazing when it comes to cleaning up the streets and the beach in the tourist area. There was certainly a lack of trash containers on the beach considering the crowds. There was also a large group at the new pier and at Mamitas.
