Congratulations to you both. How exciting. I looked at your blog and some of those designs are awesome. But..my negative old real estate agent starting looking for warnings...you know what I mean..... Just how much jungle is there going to be? I think about mosquitos and jungle noises..and Jaguars!!!!
![]() I'm sure you have considered alll that too.It would be really cool to have water from a cenote running thru the house for those really hot muggy days. |

We have plans in place to avoid the mosquitos and I have been reading about "tabano traps" on the SacBe thread on PI. In Playacar, we had terrible problems with scorpions WHICH I HATE and ticks on the dogs. I think we will have similar issues to contend with here. Campestre is a largely walled neighborhood, so large predators are not an issue. We plan to keep our back property line and the vista as open as possible for as long as we can. Smaller critters will be able to get in , coatiis and agouti, but once they see the dogs, I don't think they will find our gardens so appealing. I think the positives outweigh the negatives. We'll just have to figure out solutions as we go along.
