Mojo Zone Re-Opens

The much anticipated reopening of the Mojo Zone Bar finally came this past Saturday night. The Mojo Zone Bar is a small, intimate bar and live music venue. "Bad Brad", the owner, is a local musician and also a record and audio producer. So, he designed the bar for the best possible acoustics and they really are great!

The bar and live music is on the second floor, and will have air-conditioning as soon as they get their electrical issues sorted out. Brad plans to have live music nightly. He will play as well as a variety of other talented local musicians. He also plans to open up the rooftop deck for additional seating and dining.

By the time John and I got to Mojo Zone on Satuday it was already late and we were kicking ourselves for waiting so long! The music, the crowd, & the atmosphere were just awesome! I have a feeling I'm gonna be spending a lot of time here!

Unfortunately, the few of our pictures that turned out just don't do it justice. We really need to learn how to take nighttime photos!

I've been trying to upload a video to YouTube so I can share some of the fab music with you but our upload speed is atrocious right now! I'll post that as soon as I can.

I think your pictures came out pretty well. I took a video too. I just have to figure out what to do with it. That was a fun night. Even if I did have to drink all those free cocktails alone.

Well you shuld have seen the photos I rejected! Actually, it seemed like in every photo someone was prominently scratching their head, or yawning, or picking at the corner of their eye. I think those pics were taken during a music break so I guess people were a bit bored.

But I wish I could take nighttime pics that look like what I actually saw! If I use the flash the pic comes out well, but looks like it was taken during the daytime -- too bright. If I don't use the flash, the pic comes out too dark and indiscernable. I know there's all sorts of nifty settings on my camera; I've just been too lazy to figure them out.

Oh and the video is easy. Just create a YouTube account. Then upload your video file. They accept a lot of different formats -- .avi, .mov, .wmv, .mpg.

I have Stuart working on it. The file size is too big for YouTube. He is making some adjustments. It's not very good but what the heck.

Thanks for posting that Michele! We missed that part of the evening. Looks like everyone was having a great time. Was that Kim that stood up to say hi to the camera?

What a great time we all had at Brad's new place. Even without the a/c...I didn't find it too bad...altho I was sitting right in front of a fan... Best music I have heard in a long time....loooove the blues!!!

Hey all! I had the best time that night. What a great little club and fantastic music. It was great meeting Michelle and Rob again and I meet Libby and hung out with a whole bunch of other great fun people Can't wait to go back
