Peanut Pet Shelter Talent Show Fundraiser
We are putting together a fund raising Talent Show for the Peanut Pet Shelter. We anticipate that this is going to be fabulously fun time that no one will forget.
   Here's what we have come up with so far. Nothing is set in stone at this point, so if anyone has more or better ideas, please let us know. Any person or group can enter an act including singing (solos - duets - trios - quartets) either karaoke style or with instrument back-up, dancing, playing an instrument, a funny skit, magic, lip syncing, stand-up comedy, juggling? strip-tease??  or anything else you can think of. Each person or group will be responsible for getting sponsors for their act of at least 500 pesos from your friends, acquaintances or forum buddies. (If you can't get your friends to support you, maybe you should pay it yourself ...... you must need the practice!!  ) We will also be selling the complete show on DVD to anyone who wants it. (Biz and I will be going back to Texas the first part of September, and we could mail them then to anyone in the U.S. who has ordered one.) We are looking for some ideas for a show T-shirt we could sell......something like: "I did it for the dogs." Peanut Pet Shelter Playa del Carmen, Mexico All proceeds will, of course, go to the Peanut Pet Shelter. Capt. Dave has graciously offered us the stage at Bad Boys for the show. I'm sure we can get some of the local band members to donate their time and sound equipment for this. We really need your help and input about the date. We're thinking the end of July since there will be a bunch of fun U.S. folks here in Playa at that time.....perhaps on a Friday or Sunday evening? Please, please give us your thoughts and ideas. If anyone would like to help with the planning, we would appreciate the help. Almost everyone can do some kind of act. I know you guys are going to get behind this and make this a BLOW-OUT SHOW!!

Hmmm . . .
I'm a librarian. . . I guess audience members could shout out subjects and I could reply with Library of Congress call numbers.
 I don't see much entertainment value in that, though!  B

We can definitely use the help.Please let us hear from you guys about what you could do for an act and when you think we should do it. Silly or crazy is fine, as well as serious acts. Get together with your friends and put a skit together. If you need some help thinking up something, we have some ideas. PM me. We all can something!! Let's DO IT FOR THE DOGS!!!

Fantastic idea Sharon, i am gonna (try) and learn a couple of songs on the bass for a one off (embarrasing) performance....in my kilt of course
 I dont think there is a definate date as yet maybe it can be arranged for when there are more locals in town to perform

oh wow! Can it be any talent?? My daughter is a terrific dancer, she could do one of her solos...I'd have to bring her music. She'd love it! My son could play the guitar...he's bringing his axe with him.
