I am Samantha Mason and I am the new consular agent. It seems that their is not a lot of information out there about what my office can actually do for the expats that have chosen live in this area so I thought I would let you know.

My office, The Palapa, is located on Calle 1 Sur, Between 15 Av and 20 Av and the office is open publicly Monday Wednesday and Friday from 10-1.(Phone984-873-0303) During those hours, I can accept applications for renewal passports, and shortly I will be able to perform US notarials. I am looking forward to meeting you.

The other focus of my job is to help Americans when they find themselves in trouble, mostly by connecting them with local resources or US friends / family that can help.... I also serve as a watch dog to make sure Americans are receiving fair treatment from the local businesses and officials. I am sure that many of you already have strong ties to the PDC community, but I would like to offer myself as a resource as well if you feel you ever need me. Because many of you in the community have such strong ties you can also be great assets to the work I try to perform here..

Do you know what he likes to do for fun? Is he a beach addict, or likes to dive...anything you may be able to think of what he might be doing.

There are so many resorts that sell timeshares..anything you may know about it will help..like is it in Playa, Playacar, out of the town limits?

I bet you are very worried. Playa is fairly safe so as long as he isn't into anything illegal, he should be fine. I hope you hear from him soon.

I agree. And a photo would be best. I'll be there for a month soon, if I saw a photo of him I'd be sure to keep a good eye out for him the entire time.

OK, I know this is going to sound a little bit off the wall but does he ever go by the name "Brian Christy". There was a guy we met a few months ago who had moved down here to work at one of the resorts in Playacar. He totally fell off of our radar and we can't reach him by phone or email. Odd coincidence.
