Fundraiser & Raffle 4th July Bad Boys
As some of you may already know on the 4th July there is a fundraiser party at Bad Boys (thank you JJ and Captain Dave) in conjunction with this we are holding another raffle, prizes already include Boat trips, Meals , massages and a fantastic prize of a 3 night hotel stay as well as some beer tabs, more info about these and other prizes will be on this thread as they come in.
Tickets will be $5usd ($50 peso) each and the draw will be hopefully on line as it happens. We are hoping to raise a big chunk of the $5.000 usd needed to finish the new shelter project. Andy Fat Cat trip for two Fast Blast speed boat trip for two Beer tab at the Beer Bucket for $500 peso All you can eat rib night at Manne,s Biergarten 3 night stay in the superior room at the Luna Blue Hotel ATV Jungle tour for two Microlite flight Two $250 peso bar tabs at the Luna Blue Bar 1 hour Massage at Reflex 3 month banner advertisement (value $2,500.00 pesos) on Playa Maya News 2 x 1 hour snorkle dives with Antonio @Kool $500 peso meal at Tango Taco A 3 night stay at Fusion Hotel 2 x $500 peso bar tabs At Fusion 2 x $500 peso meals at La Tortuga' resturant El Bistro An original painting by Popeye http://i37.photobucket.com/albums/e8...nasofTulum.jpg 2 months of English classes at Harmon Hall (any level, i.e., basic, intermediate or advanced),. Andy,
We'd like to suggest you update the first post of this thread with how much $$ you raise to date for the raffle. That would keep us all in the loop on how close we are to the $5000 goal. I know that there are mostly English speakers taking part in this raffle, but if you win the English classes, you could actually do two good things. One, donate to the Pet Shelter. Two, donate your winnings (the courses) to a local who might not otherwise be able to afford it. Or, give it to some nice local you know. It is 100% transferable.

Hi all... Due to the logistical problems of locals recieving and using some of the donated prizes i have had to put them on hold until the next on-line auction. Thanks to those people who donated the prizes and sorry i had to take them off the list, howver andother couple of great prizes have been added (Cue Susie and her bullet points )
So far we have sold 155 tickets loads more left to sell __________________

HUH????!!!! If a local had to wait a couple of months to get a prize...so what?? This is for charity, people, come on! We're going back to the US another two times this year, and we'd be happy to bring back any prizes that any locals might win. This is about RAISING MONEY FOR THE PET SHELTER. We say the more prizes, the better!!!! And like Mark said before, if you can't use a prize...donate it to the next auction, give it to someone, or donate a like sum to the pet shelter. Okay now, folks, let's buy some tickets!!
