I remember when we stayed at the Aventura Palace, it was a bus...hated it..it stopped at the Moon place, which took forever, then finally Aventuras.

It should be a van for you guys!

We were there in April and July and had a van both times. We were the only ones in April. In July, we were the last drop at Xcaret and it did take an hour to drop off everyone else. I think they try to put people together in vans/shuttle near each other. I agree that the best method to avoid extra time in the car is to arrange private transportation.

That's not too bad for timing actually...Playa is about 40 minutes away, so an hour is not bad....but...I am always in a hurry to get there..so I get impatient!

We have stayed at the Royal 2 years in a row, and we get the transportation included in the package. First year we were on a van, that stopped at a couple of places before the Royel......no big thing just drink another beer. Second year we were put on a bus, Lots of cops from Minnesota and we drank alot of beer with them!!!!!!!!!!!! We were the first stop. So don't worry just crack another cold one and enjoy the company.

My first trip to QR was way back in '96. It was a package trip to Cancun through Funjet. Our transfer to the hotel was a bus that stopped at every other hotel on the hotel strip with ours being the last stop. They had free Dos Equis beers on the bus. I was glad to be in Mexico and getting a free tour of the hotel zone while I guzzled Dos Equis. I would've gladly stayed on that bus all day!

I think they charge for this now and call it a rolling tour of Cancun. $75 bucks for 4 hours.
