beach massages

Okay, does anyone have recommendations on where to get a great massage on the beach in Playa? What is the going rate? Thanks for your input, I am looking forward to one after a long flight down.

I usually start my vacation with Martine. He is on the beach in front of the Colibri just next door to El Piratas. He is very, very, good.

I've ben going to Dr. Roman for the last couple of years. He is located in the afternoons in front of the Pelicana, next to the Playa Maya. He is Wonderfull!
I think this might be his last year also.

We prefer to go to Veronicas rather that lay on the beach,just a little more private for us. The cost last year was $30 for the hour,I think they are about $50-55 on the beach for the same time.Lots of places to get one,just walk up and down the beach and you will find them.

I think he charges 50 for an hour, but he has specials. I ususlly get him for about 35 for an hour plus a nice tip. Depends on how busy he is. He will negotiate.

Now this could have been a one time thing, but we were staying at the Pelicano once, and John was in the Men's restroom at the same time as Dr. Roman. He witnessed Dr. Roman go to the washroom and then proceed to leave the washroom and return to his massage table without washing his hands.

It cuts down on the amount of massage oil he needs to use and at his cut rate prices hes gotta save where he can!

Oh Ginger, that makes my day. I was just talking to my friend who came home from Playa on Wed. She said he was still working there. I find it kind of hard to believe, since he is a real Dr. But you never know.

There was some guy giving massages next door to Bad Boyz, North side, by the pool and He really hurt. I like for my massuese to dig and hit the points, but he was really really rough. He had some strange name for the style of massage he was doing and I never could find info on it by googling. I won't go back to him, he just made everything feel worse.

The past few years we've stayed at Playa-Maya - they have several different massage therapists. I've had massages by the "tall thin guy" four times and he is very good. Charges $55 per hour and he usually goes over that time. You can have a beach massage or they have a private room.

Wow! Thanks for all the feedback. They all sound pretty good minus the anti hand washer Does anyone know if you can get a half hour massage? I'm not trying to be cheap or anything, I'm just not sure I would want to do a full hour. Hell, whatever! Just point me to the table and I'll do it!

If the masseuse is good, a half hour won't feel like long enough. It was hot as hades when we were there, I thought the indoor massage at Veronica's was perfect.

Is it 1st and 26th or 5th and 26th or both or if there are two which do you guys go to???
