Weather In Playa
Is there a good/accurate spot to get the current weather and forecast for the Playa area? I tried weather.com and refuse to believe that its going to rain in Playa for the next 9 days....

Just plan to be flexible with your travel plans. It amazed me how much the weather can differ between PDC and points south. At least twice on our last trip down we collectivo'd out early ... had lovely "puffy cloud" weather down in XpuHa or Akumal, then got back to Playa to find HUGE rain puddles and everybody grumpy.

Actually, we haven't had much rain lately. We probably could use a little.
 I find Cancun Weather Today to be much more in line with what's happening in Playa than any other weather source.

Better still, just ask. I am here, everyday.
Today is sunny and a little warm. Kind of like yesterday and the day before. Had one cloud move over us, this AM, dropped about 1/1000th of a milimeter of rain and moved on. Like Sharon said, we need some rain. Even if we get it, it shouldn't be enough to screw up any plans you have.

Anything in PDC right now is better than 6 inches of frozen slush and a 5-degree windchill.

We use Accuweather on our blog...it actually has a Playa Del Carmen report. It's not as reliable as Playadelsoul but then again you don't have to hear about how long Ann Coulter's legs are either when you get the forecast.
 BTW, remember that it might be raining in Playa but not in Akumal or Tulum...or vice-versa. And it never rains inside the bar.

Yes, you are correct. Even though it is a very small thing, it was always a pet peeve of mine.
You must admit that some of the answers were rather mean and abrupt. And, actually it makes me a bit "gun shy".
