Hi Ginger, yes Trina is the manic one, it was nice to have a few quiet hours while she was still sleepy from the drugs.

Hi Cathy (hidden worlds) always nice to hear from new readers

I plan on coming next Saturday......( NEXT SATURDAY??)

We are staying outside of Playa and plan on going to Walmart to pick up some dog food and other goodies for these sweet things. Can you give me the address for the Pet Shelter so I can tell taxi? I'm all worried about not making it to the right place. (I'm hoping my manfriend will feel guilty and I can figure out how to get one of the fluffy, sweet puppies home........OR Troy )

It could work, but it is going to take the consumption of several bottles of tequila to get us lubed up well enough to set the breed standards

I think my boy pretends to be dumb, then I don't expect anything out of him! But I catch him every now and then doing really not-so dumb things.

Default Burgers for Bowsers

Last night we were sitting around munching on some burgers and feeding little bites to Huggybear and Gypsy, who were drooling all over our feet. We remembered how Gypsy, our little Mexican street dog, had almost gone to live at the Peanut Pet Shelter. How different her life would have been. This made us think about all the other dogs over at the shelter (81, according to Andy when we talked to him yesterday) who have never had a chance to beg at anyone’s dinner table.

So, we’re starting a hamburger fund: Burgers for Bowsers. For the rest of year, during every Jimmy Buffett Parrothead party at the Luna Blue Bar, we will donate to the Peanut Pet Shelter half of the sales price (25 pesos) for every burger sold.

We’re going to suggest that Andy & Jen take all 81 dogs to Burger King, but they can actually do whatever they want with the money. Seriously, we’re hoping to raise enough to sponsor another kennel.

Andy & Jen are two of our favorite people. They work hard and do their best for Playa, and they aren’t appreciated enough. And the Pet Shelter is something that makes a real difference in Playa del Carmen. So we’d like to offer our applause, our support, and our burgers.

To get all the info on the where & when of the upcoming Parrothead parties at the Luna Blue Bar, click here.

PS. For all those who attended the 2008 Fiesta del Mar fishing expedition, Papa T will be pouring a free shot of Herradura Añejo at this Sunday’s Parrothead party. The memories may fade, but the videos will last forever.

That's great! Everyone and their generosity amazes on this board! You guys are great! Even more of a reason for me to bring friends as I've told them about Peanut Pet Shelter AND the Buffett and Burgers. How can you go wrong??

Ok so its ..boo..hiss time..
Thanks to a great (ha!!) ex friend of ours we now have no choice but to take a 3 day trip down to Belize, this so called friend took $8000 from us to get our FM3's but turns out he did jack which means we need help, the whole excusion is gonna take around 5 days (one day down and one day back) and we will have to leave Adam to run the shelter while we are gone, it a lot of work so if anyone would like to step up to give him a hand while we are gone we would be very grateful.
The whole thing couldnt have come at a worse time with the shelter nearly finished and money being so tight but as they say Ce La Vie.
