Another busy couple of days at the shelter (pics to follow soon i promise)
On thursday evening i had a call from a lady in Cancun who had rescued a very pregnant dog from the street which had given birth just two days before, she had tried in vain to find a place for her in Cancun and had gotton our number from a vet in Tulum, she arrived friday evening with the mom and five tiny babies (there had been eight but three didnt make it) she is such a sweet gentle dog and had been named Negrita as she is black but as we already have a negrita we will rename her soon (she has a big dent on the side of her head no idea from what) so she is now settled in upstairs in the bathroom and all babies are doing fine so far, but...... this morning i had a call from another lady here in Playa who had found 5 tiny pups near the highway with no sign of the mom, sadly again three didnt make it but we collected the other two earlier and introduced them to the mom, just like Selina before her the mom has adopted the two new babies so hopefully they will all make it. Mario was adopted out this morning !! a great guy that has already taken two of the shelter dogs in the past came by as he had room for another, he straight away fell for Mario's swwet face and big eyes and Mario (who is a shy puppy) took to his new owner straight away. One goes another one comes... had another call just a couple of hours ago from a woman who had found a small scruff Schnauzer type dog on the highway , she rang to ask if we could take it as she has three big dogs in her apartment and of course i said yes, he is about 5 months and needs a good bath but otherwise is a healthy little guy. So along with a busy dog wash yesterday i have quite a few pics for you , i will try and post them later today

Thanks for the updated photos- Everyone really appreciates it!
Love how you put names with their photos-helps me remember who I bathed and visited ! They are all tooooo adorable. How is the construction coming??

Here are a couple more pics for you
 This is Brandi who has come from the pererra...she needs a good bath and a haircut but she is a cutie.  This is Pulga (Adam named him ) or Little Flea as he was covered in them before his bath and cut, turned out he is a mini Schnauzer...would never have known before his trim  and this is Mutt-mutt, after his visit to the beauty parlor, (sorry Ginger )i just wanted him trimmed but he came back with a poodle cut...he wasnt happy  Dotty who was so close to not making it (Hookworm and Coccdias sp) is now on the mend and putting weight on at last  And this is new mom Negrita (2) feeding her babies and the extra pups that she has adopted  The babies

Well we are back up to over 45 dogs at the shelter again after picking up another yopung mom with 5 little pups these are around 3 weeks old and just so cute, mom has a skin condition and is a bit thin but we will soon get her fit and healthy again. Some news on the fundraiser front.... there will be a big party at Bad Boys coming up early next month and they have offered to use it to help raise much needed funds for the Peanut Shelter so along side that we are planning another on-line raffle (the last one was a huge success) and the draw will take place during the party ..... so looking for prizes if anyone can help. Its dogwash day again tomorrow and it looks like a dry one so i will get some pics up as soon as. Have a great weekend everyone
