Here are some more pics from yesterday,s dogwash,
 Li'l Flea soon to be a US citizen  Grace Baby bath time  Another little one Box o babies This is poor Petra, she is a bit of a mess just now , so very thin and she has a skin condition, but worst of all we believe she has a broken nose (pointing upwards which is very strange) which means she can oly breath thru her mouth     some washers...washing And a little announcement !!! Its almost time again for another Pet Shelter fundraiser, we will be soon selling tickets for another raffle and we have already been given some fantastic prizes, including boat trips, quad rides and a hotel stay, i will be opening a new thread with more details and prizes in the next day or two. We currently need to raise around $5000 to finish the new shelter project, thank you so much to so many wonderful people who have given so generously, hopefully the next fundraiser and raffle will go someway to getting us closer to our final target

Our family will be in PDC on Wednesday 6-25, we would like to know if you will be having a dog wash this week (we are leaving 7/2)?

Just posted a new entry to my blog about our wash day trip, thought I'd post some of the photos here...the dogs are all gorgeous, Andy and Jen are absolutely amazing for what they do there! I just wish there were more I could do then just wash dogs.
 I hope their new shelter gets built soon for them. We loved ALL the dogs, and of course, I have whole bunch more photos on my blog, but here's a few:

Andy and/or Rick - did I see a poodle at the shelter? If there is, we'd love to try and see if we have allergies to it - from what we've found they should be with the least allergies. Rick, if I forget to ask you tomorrow, can you remember to let me know if there is a poodle at the shelter? TIA!

Great shots Ginger! I just read your blog as well and immediately wished I could be down there. I'm so jealous that you're there for a month, I haven't done that since 2004! Sigh.

Im back
Its been a rough week for me, had this damn awful stomach bug going around and had sooooo much to catch up on workwise after i recovered i just have not had time to get on the internet and post. Firstly... Thank you again to everyone who joined in with the raffle and helped make it so successful, we raised an awful lot of money to build the shelter, some of which we will have to use to get the lot cleared completely and of course costs always go up but we are making great progress, it is amazing to finally see our dream coming true and qwe couldnt have done any of it without your generous help. so again i say thank you  .Arrivals and departures..... We have made a couple of rehomings recently, firstly sweet little Sandy who has made a trip northward and is now a citizen of the USA and also puppy Mel was adopted by a Brazilian girl living here in Playa, she may be coming back for Negrita soon when she moves into her new house with a garden. Thed may soon be going to a new home to live with Ellie and Osa ..We hav had some new arrivals too (my camera is playing up but i will post pics soon  )We had another mom and babies arrive mid-week, the five new borns are huge and very healthy (as are both the other litters we have here) we also took in five new young pups this week two of which are a bit sick as they came from the pererra and are very underfed and weak. Sushi is currently living at Maureens as Jez who was looking after her had to move to a no-pet apartment but hopefully she will be able to move back with us when the shelter is finished. Ok i think thats about it for now i will get some pics up soon.\Thank you for your patience

I just want to thank everyone who has been able to help us so far raise so much towards getting the new shelter built, ...but we stiull have a little way to go yet, obviously "quotes" and "actual" are never quite the same which means although we are almost there on the shelter build we still need to raise a bit more to pay for the materials to construct the large runs for the dogs and also stuff like 3-4 tons of gravel for the walkways, money for lighting / electic and some kind of water purification system as bottled water for so many dogs is incredibly expensive !!!
We still have 6 pens available for sponsorship and if everyone who has so far sponsored a kennel could PM me so we can sort out plaques and logos asap i would appreciate it. Sorry to keep holding my hand out One of the small pups that came from the pererra on sat morning is at the vets for a blood transfusion as he is sooo poorly without this and a saline drip he wont make it, Bernie was non too pleased to be volounteered as the donor My camera has well and truly died, but it has been busy for the last few months so sorry no pics til i can get a new one which will hopefully be very soon.

Tasha took a trip into town today to see her favorite person, Dr Jen. We had a needle biopsy done on a growth on her neck. Good news, it's just a wart, although Tasha prefers to call it a beauty mark! She has gained yet another two pounds, and is the very picture of health
We may have to cut back on her food soon, or she will be round! I did these before and after shots so all of you who loved and cared for her before she came home with us could really see the changes. The shot on the left was taken right before we brought her back from Mexico. The shot on the right was taken about 10 minutes ago. Check out the tail. We can't even get a comb through that bush now!!! She is about 6 inches taller than she was in Feb.  The shot on the left is Tasha on her way home from the airport in Feb, and the one on the right was just taken. Big, big girl!
