According to this Mexico bus site, the buses start daily about 12:30 am. You can check the schedules on the date of your choice by putting in Playa del Carmen, Qroo as the Origen, Tulum Qroo at the Destino and ADO as the L?*nea.

Thanks Sharon.

So I just did all that and I got this message "Por favor espere, su consulta se esta procedando" I clicked ok and then got big red letters giving me a phone number.....maybe it's just a temporary thing?

Maybe it's cause the date I put in is April 10th....is that too far away?

hmmmmmmm

I just tried the same info for March 28th and get the same message. Do you know what that means?

the site does not work in firefox
the first message you received was just asking you to wait while it searches
here's a partial schedule for April 10

Thank's Red.
First trip. Thought we would want to experience
a collectivo once but think it would be better
to take a shorter trip for that than an hr. to Tulum.
Thoughts? tia
Craig.

We take colectivos to Paamul and Akumal to snorkel. Don't remember exactly how long a ride it is to each but shorter than Tulum for sure.

If you don't snorkel Akumal is a nice little spot with great restaurants and fantastic beach to hang out for the day. A nice little adventure for a day.

Don't snorkel.
Was thinking Puerto Morelos
or somewhere.
Seems recent posts indicate more & more
crowds in Akumal.
Perhaps we could take a walk one way or the other
to escape the crowds.
Tia, Craig.

Biz and I have done the Colectivo to Tulum more than once. It does get a little crowded sometimes. They stop a lot and people get on and off each time they stop. We don't mind it, but if you want a more comfortable ride, take the bus.

Soooo....looks like the first bus leaves Playa at 7:20 am. Do you know if the colectivos leave earlier than that?

I've done the ADO to Tulum several times and it does take close to an hour.
They make several stops and the driver always seems to need to get off the bus and have a conversation.
