Default Xcaret and Weather Questions

I was wondering a few things... What is the average temp/rainfall for June? Last time I was there it was August.

Also...I am going to Xcaret...and I was wondering if anyone knows what a good day of the week is to go...perhaps when its less crowded?

Thanks for the help...you guys are great

i'm not stalking you
upper 80s-low 90s, high humidity - No rain (perhaps an afternoon shower)
Intense sun
June is low season...I wouldn't worry about crowds on any day

BTW....we need rain badly

I hope you get no rain
I hope we get a lot rain
Perhaps we can compromise
But I don't think there is any rain in our forecast
The last appreciable rain we've had here was in March

Deal...I can compromise. Actually, I LOVE the brief thunderstorms that blow through the area during the summer. The sky seems to take on a whole life of it's own..sorta like free entertainment. Maybe it should rain after I leave the poolside each day.

I cannot wait to see a "mild" hurricane". As sick as most people would think, IF the area HAS TO HAVE a hurricane, I'd want to stick it out. However, I hope there are no more hurricanes...ever.

No way on the tornado or earthquake...too scary
Not sure why about the hurricane...it's something that I have always wanted to experience. I'm pretty adventurous but I think that once it begins, I will be so scared that I will quickly change my mind.

i don't think the folks who experienced Wilma or Emily or Katrina or Dean share your adventurous spirit. Remember...Dean hit 3 hours south of us and still made a mess of things here.

Don't get me wrong, I don't want a hurricane to hit because of the potential loss of lives and devastation that it leaves behind. I wish that upon no one. I will probaly have second thoughts from wanting to sit through a second one though. I may even chicken out on the first one.

Even a small hurricane or a tropical storm can have some pretty devestating effects. A thatch roof, a wooden home, or a dirt road/yard can look pretty bad after a strong wind and lots of rain. People can get cut off from the rest of the world and end up sleeping on wet floors with no electricity, short on food, water and help. And for someone about to make a living in the tourist industry you should realize every hurricane threat, real or perceived translates into people canceling trips and/or making plans to go elsewhere with their vacation money.

A hurricane is not an adventure, it's a threat to life property and business down here. We hope you never get to experience one.

Point well taken.

I do know where you are coming from, Kami. I always wanted to experience one, as well. Now that I have been able to stand in the eye of three of them, I hope to never experience another. They suck. So does the aftermath. I think the desire stemmed from some misguided notion of the "hurricane party" being something that everyone should experience. It was and is an idiotic notion. There is nothing to "party" about, when a hurricane comes a calling.

Thanks Playadelsol. I feel like a moron for even thinking that I want be there during the next one (God willing that there is not ever another one). Lot's of points very well taken and I guess I have not really given much thought as to why. Maybe stemming from the Hurricane parties but maybe stemming from something else. Maybe I need therapy?

Kami, when a hurricane hits....you dont have much choice....there is no thing as "chickening out". You have a very small window of time to make a decision if you are going to go or stay. We knew Dean was a tropical storm, but it was far away from the Yucatan and the way hurricanes change so quickly we decided to stick
