Default Where to eat in Tulum

First time in Tulum next week! We are staying in the pueblo, but of course will be at the beach all day. Is there a place on the beach that is a must eat? I imagine we would have to taxi back to the hotel, clean up and then head back to the beach. Such a newbie. Thanks.

My favorite beach restaurant is the thai place at Mezzanine hotel, about a quarter mile south of El Paraiso beach club. Its a pretty nice place... I suspect you would be okay in beach gear, but I would bring a wrap and a shirt. Its not your typical beachside place...

Mezzanine is great for dinner. Hechizo would be my first choice but they are closed for the summer season.

We love Ana Y Jose's. It is an open air restaurant with sand floors overlooking the beach. The food and drinks were great!!

I think the only two places left are La vita Y La bella (Great for Pizza) and Margherittas.......I have eaten at them all and Zamas is my favorite for breakfast.......Mezzanine for appetizers......And La vita Y La bella for the pizza.....Ana Y Jose's for dessert.......

Absolutely one of the finest morsels of food south of Playa, BUT...

...the OP was asking about places on the beach!

Good mention though... When IN the pueblo, Pollo Bronco is a must eat. Good chicken, but the twice baked potatoes are 'da bomb!

I'll be doing the Friday night dinner/dancing thing in less than two weeks...

Wish you were there!
