Default Hope the ATM cash problem

worked out for you. I know first hand that horrible feeling when the ATM won't work, you're away from home and feel basically helpless. Banks not open didn't help us either.

I know it will work out; it's just the stress when you are having such a great time. Really impressed with your ruin find down a small road. Your kids are great travellers and will really benefit from their experiences in years to come.

I am glad to see you finally got the ATM to give you some money. The photos of the ruins are great. I remember, once, when my family and I had Ek Balam all to ourselves. It was rather spiritual.

Lovin' your report! Having lived in Belize for 16 months, your pic of the traditional Belizean lunch - stew chicken, rice and beans, plantains and coleslaw - made me hungry to go there again. We have lived in Mexico long enough now that it seemed unusual to see the Belizian signs written in English. Although there are a lot of Spanish speaking people in Belize, English is the national language. Someone said, "If you just keep going down Mexico as far as you can, eventually they start speaking English again."

Great pics too!!!

Default Thank you Michele....

I am so envious of you and your trip!!! I just wish; but at 69 I don't think it's going to happen. We took our kids camping/travelling all over Canada and the US, so I guess that kind of makes up for it. If only we'd known about the Mayan ruins when we first started our travels!!!!!

I hope your children realize (someday) how incredibly lucky they are!!!

Can't wait for the next report.
