Default We're Off to Belize !!

Today starts the two week school break that our children enjoy for semana santa and Easter. Connor has been invited to spend his vacation in Seattle with his girlfriend and her family. Sooo...Rob and I and the little ones are packing up the Xterra for a week of touring through the jungle in Belize and another week on Ambergris Caye, relaxing with friends and doing some necessary "recon" for an exciting new real estate project we are working on.

We are leaving at about noon and making the drive to Chetumal, crossing the border and spending the evening in Corozal. Our plan from there is to explore all of the regions on the Belize mainland Corozal, Orange Walk, Caya, Belize, Stann Creek and Toledo. We will most likely not spend any time in Belize City. We have no plans, no reservations and 7 days to spend doing and seeing ANYTHING that we come upon. Our kids are great travelers so this should be a wonderful adventure for us all.

I will be blogging as we go along and doing my best to post everyday. If anyone has any recommendations for things to do/see and places to stay, I will be checking this thread as well.

Wish us luck and be sure to check on our progress at www[dot]LifesaBeachBlog[dot]com. And we're off!!!

Oh! You should see her!! 6 foot 3, blond, gorgeous, nice. We couldn't be more pleased. Her family is very nice as well. I have no worries about him behaving himself as the dad is tough as nails.

Sounds great to me, but wait, to go from PDC, to Belize, during spring break? I went from Menomonie, Wis to Fargo N.D. once for spring break.....
That looks to be about the same distance, but about 70 degrees warmer!

Have a wonderful trip - can't wait for the trip report and pictures. We went to San Pedro on one of our trips south but the weather did not co-operate at all and we were rained out for most of the time and ended up leaving early. We did find it very expensive in San Pedro and didn't end up doing a whole lot of exploring because of the rain. And when I say rain - it was down pouring all day long.

Great photos. The colors of that sunset were unreal!

The pet crocodiles...oh my. That was unusual...Birdie looked a little apprehensive, I love how she is watching his mouth very carefully! My kids held little ones once also, at Crococun. Fun experience for sure.

I'm sure you've heard this a million times before, but your kids are absolutely adorable. I can just tell that they are full of personality!

Looking forward to more photos.
