I'm tired, achy, and plum worn out. We drove all the way from Kentucky to Dallas today. 15 hours is a packed cramped van with my MIL.

How's MIL doing?

Actually, we were hoping to make it to Memphis on Tuesday and spend the night, eat ribs, etc. but we were making good time. We were in Memphis too early and not hungry so we kept going to and planned to eat at Corky's in Little Rock and stay the night there. After eating we decided since we were only 5 hours from home, why spend the night?. So we piled back into the the "rolling thunder" and headed for Texas. I could smell Texas from from Little Rock and just wanted to get home.. We only stopped for gas and potty calls and for me to smoke ..(during those stops).

I will get to the trip report and pics. We are unpacking, and expecting about 8 boxes from UPS today.. so much to do. I am just happy to be back in Texas.

My old legs & behind can't do those long hauls like they used to.
Thank God for the internet-based trip planning software, I can plan ahead to make sure I keep our long hauls no longer than 12-13 hrs drivetime.

Plus we have learned that we need to know what hotel we're staying at, otherwise we would be tempted to keep going. That has rarely ended well for us as a strategy.
